  1. Another excellent session you all have put on and this setting up to be a good ole' fashion beatdown the target being the Romans.

Dave's theme song should be "Another One Bite's the Dust".

    1. Little predictable. We should assign a theme song to every one of his dead characters. For Arrent I'd go for "Too Much Love Will Kill You".

    3. Arrent appears to have been overwhelmed by multiple opponents. In reality, he was overwhelmed by his feelings of shame and guilt at having failed to prevent the death of the knight who would inevitably have been the greatest figure of the age.

  2. I like to imagine that Jade now just throws her d20 and announces that she's Critted without even looking at the result.

Gawain will probably give a sterling eulogy for the loss of Sir Arrent. They'd had that great moment of bonding when they were fleeing together, and then he went on to warn Arthur and Arrent never came back. A tragedy.

  3. I imagine that, in the distant future, when the legends of King Arthur are compiled, all of Dave's characters have been kind of folded together. That knight drives Arthurian scholars mad: "How did this guy die in every story?!"

Also, when Jade was asking about the highest passion you had ever seen, I think you said high twenties? I have some recollection that in your Solo GPC, Loholt had an almost absurdly high Amor? In the high thirties? Maybe I'm misremembering.

    1. I think he meant this campaign specifically.

    2. It's funny(ish) that when everyone was fighting the bodyguards, and Jen/Des both decided to put all their skill into hitting one of the guards and take an unopposed attack from the other I was getting angry at Dave for not reminding them to fight defensively and split their skill. And yet that absolutely turned out to be the right course of action for all three of them, since a skill of 30 would've tied a crit on the first attacker and the second attacker wouldn't have done enough to kill him.

The Rules Minion's brief lapse saved the day for almost everyone!

  4. Despite my nitpicking addiction, I have made sure to avoid the super-annoying category of pronunciation nitpicks.

But, since you seemed curious about this specific one, I think it's OK: "ch" in Welsh is a sound like the one at the end of Scottish "loch" or German "Bach." If you can't produce that sound comfortably, it's probably best just to treat it as "k."

Don't ask me to produce the Welsh "ll"!

  5. Gawain: "It's funny. Whenever that Salisbury crowd is around, I keep feeling like they somehow make me more honorable."

Sir Accolon of Gaul: "That's weird. I had that same feeling a couple of years ago."

Gawain: "Yeah. It's happened to me twice now. Feeling like somehow I sort of morally dodged a bullet."

    Gaheris: "What's a bullet?"

    1. Gawain: "Yes, it sure was honourable of me to laugh at a murder during a diplomatic meeting. I still can't shake this feeling like there's some sort of omnipresent observer constantly praying for my demise."
Agravain: "Oh now you're just being paranoid. Nothing bad's going to happen to us."

  6. This episode should have been called I DIDN'T WANT THAT.

"Sir Arrent dies..." "...I DIDN'T WANT THAT!!!!"

You updated Sir Malvis' sheet on obsidian portal with her admiring Romans and hating Marshans whatever those are.
