  1. Ah, the age old answer to the classic riddle: What's worse than a shadowy organisation trying to steal the object you bled and died for once you've assembled it?

    If someone had insisted on staying with the trunk the whole time then would you have let the other players know about the (presumably) magical impersonation to try and convince the guard to bring the trunk with them?

    1. Oh yeah, there's nothing mandating the simulacrum gets stolen before the cult strikes. They failed their group Luck roll, which meant the cult marked them upon arrival, and (naturally) Fayar is, of course, a mole feeding the cult inside information. So...yeah.

      But if someone had stayed with the trunk (and I wondered if that would indeed happen), then it wouldn't have gone down without a doppelgangerish fight, which would've been awesome in its own right.
