  2. I enjoy any time Des confidently states something about Leander, then checks her character sheet and realises that no, he's exactly the opposite of what she had assumed. At least he's still really good at stepping up to some overconfident jerk and cutting their heads off.

As a GM I love whenever I can have NPCs act like PCs towards my actual PCs. I'm a little sad that Lancelot didn't try to force a reconciliation, but it was a pretty great moment. Especially since no one, including your players, was rooting for Daig.

    1. I rooted for Daig to lose in a noble fashion for the character growth. Which he did, so that was lovely.

Only Lancelot could beat someone almost to death and have them be super grateful when they regained consciousness.

  3. Wow, what a tumultuous session. Chock full of badass. Daig being Daig, Leander being Leander, Sawel being Sawel, Cynfan being Scion of Cynrain.

For the record only Jade could have rolled that crit and it be a legitimate roll.

    1. I've just realised how true this is. Most of my most awesome moments from Jade's characters come from her critting. Almost everyone else's awesome moments came when they fumbled.

Jen's insistence that they can't leave the tournament until Cynfan had a chance to dominate was so very, very true.

  4. Hmm. I would have sworn you had played this adventure before, but perhaps I'm thinking of some other GPC. Maybe I'm thinking of that adventure with the magic spear. That was you guys, right?

Leander is pretty murderous in 1-on-1 combat. Sir Turquine, the Pictish champion.... I think Sir Meliagrance got off lucky. It's not surprising the de Ganis knight is the most glorious of the three. Though I would think Daig must be catching up. Annual glory should be pretty good for a count.

  5. Back on the topic of seventh sons, Sir Edern was actually not Cynrain's seventh son, a Sir Owain has that honor.

    1. Looked at Cynrain's character sheet... Edern was the seventh at the time of his kidnapping - Aneirin had already died as an infant, in 492 (not 497 - I must have typed that wrong). Good eye, though!

  6. P.S. If Des can pick a character portrait for Lady Freyd (and also confirm the spelling of her name) I promise to finish this: http://tinyurl.com/LooreteAndFreyd

    1. Correct spelling: "Ffraid".

I haven't posted the character sheet yet, but Des has selected her character portrait: http://tinyurl.com/o2ohcm9

Feel free to pick something that works better for the pose, of course. :D

    2. Ah, that spelling makes the joke about Lady Ffertile make more sense now.

Fonts continue to be the bane of my existence.

    3. Holy shit, you even put the Esoteric Order logo in the "Comics Code Authority" box! This is...magical.

    4. Your praise invigorated me to tweak it a bit more. Now I just need a portrait for Sir Sawel to make it finished.

    5. Don't forget on the far left, written vertically is Betty and Veronica. Love the inclusion of the "minor" characters on the sidebar!

Super-sad I'm not going to be in the session this week.

  7. So, they're in conquered France and they don't even ask what happened to Lady Cealwina before leaving to fight Picts. Shameful.

If Daig is losing honor and getting beaten up by Lancelot for what he's done, Leander's day of reckoning should be calamitous.

  8. "Why am I so heartless?"

    That's what Brother Aeron said!

    1. That is not fair. Brother Aeron has a heart.

He'll show it to you if you ask.

  9. I have a question about Aging rolls. Daig rolled a 9 and suffered 2 losses from his case of the sniffles, but according to the GPC book a roll of 6-8 is no loss, and then every 1 point up or down from that is an extra loss, so 9 should have been 1. I'm positive that before this you always treated 6/8 as 1 potential loss, and I'm pretty sure you treated 5 as 1 potential loss also. Greg Stafford's site also goes with the 6-8 being no loss, so are you using a different Aging Table for your rolls?
