[Pendragon] Great Pendragon Campaign - A Poetical Interlude

With both GMs unavailable due to travel plans, the group takes a break from its regular schedule this week. But fear not! We've got some poetry to tide you over. . .

The campaign's wiki can be found here.

  1. Shall Mona call in vain? — Arouse,
And snatch from her invaders’ brows
    The blood-stained wreath of fame!
And while secure their prize they deem,
Plunge them in Menai’s roaring stream!—

Certainly sounds more romantic than how everyone remembers Cynrain fighting Saxons

"And then he pushed his horse to its drowning point in order to spear one last Saxon, and then cursed at their corpses floating down the river for dirtying his homeland's waters"

    1. Isn't that always the way, though?

    2. No, my battle poems would be disguising the fact that we tricked the enemy into thinking we were on their side, then mercilessly slaughtering them when they let their guard down. Just like a filthy Saxon would.

You're right though that this poem absolutely sounds like it was composed by Cynrain after the last episode. Great choices!
