  1. Poor Daig. Hope he doesn't run back to the Faerie Realm - assuming that's still possible because Grail Questing should be starting any day now, and that's really all he's got left going for him. This might further drive him to reconcile with his wife though, assuming she also survived.

Does this mean everyone gets their Annual Glory five times next year on top of whatever they get for Fae tournaments? Also, a bunch of up-and-coming knights disappearing does maybe help the Orkney knights get welcomed back since Arthur would probably need to re-shore his ranks against angry Cornish ne'er do-wells.

So hey, does this mean you skipped over that thing that I kept alluding to be going to happen? I'd be okay with not actually having to hear that.

    1. Daig's wife died, too. The only survivor was Fertile Mertyl.

    2. Ah, of course. I should have guessed that by asking "What is the most awkward way this could end for Daig?" Did any of his Fertile children survive?

Also since you are still married does this mean he will be called back to tend his estates now since I believe your wife died without an heir. You renounced count hood, but they're still your lands I believe. Unless Arthur had you declared dead in absentia.

    3. Pretty sure when Daig lost the Honor for breaking the oath he invalidated his claim on his counthood.

At this point Daig has very little left to live for, save dying. It will be hilarious if he ends up being terrible at that, too.

    4. Boy I can't wait for your reunion with Leander. That's going to be a laugh-fest. See if you can rent the Queen's garden again for another camping trip.

You should really throw yourself into Grail Knight questing then. Start putting your level and glory points towards your Religious traits, and try to be the kind of knight that would've been worthy of Loorette! Above all else do not dwell on the story that Daig specifically heard about long lost loves being in the Kingdom of Overthere and abandoning your friends and country in the slim hope of being reunited with them in a faerie dream.

Come on, if Leander has stuck it out this long surely you can as well. Form a support group! Be the heroes Camelot needs! You've still got Arthur! You've all still got Arthur! Trust me, he has had an even shittier last five years than the rest of you.

    5. If he manages to survive what I'm planning for the next session I'll take that under advisement.

    6. Well that's hardly ominous. I hope Daig doesn't go Suicide By Agravaine. He's not worth it! Unless you do some sort of opposed Amour (Loorette) vs Homage (Arthur) roll and realise that since your love started from the feud with Agravaine it should also die there and your King would be better off without you.

But that won't work because Daig is the poet of the group! Who will perform it for Arthur after the fact? Who will remember Loorette when you're gone?

  2. Good going, Tathan! I seem to recall the other Tathan doing pretty well, too. Have you guys considered naming one of these younger folks Cynrain?

Also, since you mention Arthur having a magical transformation, I feel some need to ask: Are you familiar with King Arthur and the Knights of Justice?

  3. Ouch. Poor Daig, he gets no breaks... I feel like the longer your characters survive, Dave, the more it hurts them to -be- alive. I mean, Pace seemed pretty content at the end, and Tathan lasted a fairly good time without being utterly miserable... but I imagine Aeron's kind of getting sick of sitting in his church all day, and Daig's... unlucky.

On a different note, the living Sir Tathan seems to be doing incredibly well, as does Sir Sigebryght (dying child aside). I was surprised that Sigebryght got knocked out of the joust so quickly, but was equally impressed by Tathan's performance against King Today, who seems to have odds rather stacked in his favor.

  4. What a ride. I was really hopeful for Daig. He reeeally deserved a brake, but I guess if you're going to be the tragic character then you gotta go all in. He's been so out of your control Dave, that I feel like you are almost one of us. Just listening to the trainwreck happening. Powerless to stop it.

On a brighter note, Tathan really shined here. So close on that last one.

    1. David, I think being cursed should be worth glory too, don't you? I mean it can be real notorious to be monikered as 'Daig the Accursed' or such. I think you need to make a new template of 'style of knight' to fit in with Romantic, Chivalrous, and Pugnacious. Accursed knight :D

    2. In fairness, Perry also lost the two people who meant something to him, and I imagine most of Logres has lost a lot of loved ones, and won't be feeling too sympathetic towards Daig.

Besides, the only thing he's cursed by is not being as great as Sigebrhyt or Tathan now. He attends a lot of major events in the Kingdom, regularly moves the court of Camelot to tears with his poetry, apparently rocks 1 on 1 duels, engages in trysts with women who, by any objective numerical bazed App standard are way out of his league, and he's 1-1 against the famous Agravaine, who had to cheat in the last tournament by using real weaponry in their joust.

Daig has a lot going for him, and to recommend about him. It's just a shame people only understand him when he sings.

  5. The knight that was pursuing romance for glory...Sir Perry is it? He should've gotten more glory for the 2nd year of the pursuit, it goes up each year as I heard you explain.
Also, I enjoy how excited everyone gets about things, its like every day is the first day.

"I get +20 if I crit a passion" "I do extra damage with a great axe?"

    :D
