Any shadowy government organisation that can listen to a group of PCs bicker, ask questions that then they immediately ignore, and interrupt said agent for at least ten minutes without even THREATENING to shoot one of them to get them to be quiet is a shadowy government organisation worth joining.
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting that this is World of Darkness and not Call of Cthulhu. It makes all the reveals just that little bit more surprising. I am also continuously confused at the lack of sanity checks.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the hitches I find in Chronicles of Darkness, and even more egregiously in World of Darkness. There wasn't really a Sanity mechanic in WoD, and the Breaking Point mechanic in CoD is very dependent on how stable or fucked up players' characters have been made to be.
DeleteIt definitely takes some of the steam out of terrible situations when the Storyteller basically has to say, "So...this terrible thing happened. Who's messed up by it?"
