  1. Sounded like a good session, and it's good to hear you all back together for awhile.

I confess, I'm a bit unsure what the date is. Is it still pre-war?

Hmm, I wonder if there were Ethiopians in Rome at the time given the whole Abyssinian War thing.

    1. It is the night of August 30th, 1939. Make of that what you will. ;)

Probably no Ethiopians in Rome, no, but Italy also had colonies in modern-day Somalia and Eritrea that were acquired peacefully in the late 19th century. Of course, Charles is West African and probably looks much more Ashanti than Eritrean, but I'm assuming the average Italian-on-the-street wouldn't note the difference.

  2. I feel like I need to come up with my own African accent. Every time Larkins does a British one I end up parroting him.

  4. I really like Pendragon's system of explaining where characters go when a player isn't at the table for that week. I'm not saying that Dave wouldn't have burst into a room and shot some guy, just that it's not fair to keep holding it against him when he didn't have a chance to experience that delightful failure itself.

I think my favourite kind of plans are just ones which involve a lot of panic and screaming on the part of players, and then have everything come together in an orgy of confusion while you make your escape. Shame this wasn't set in Bavaria.
