I love how gleefully Jen is throwing murder as a solution to any problem. :D
ReplyDeleteNot just murder, she's throwing around arson as the solution to all of her problems. I feel like she should gain some sort of Amour (Fire) at this point.
DeleteThat would be a neat way to handle obsessions. I'm going to use it if it comes up.
DeleteHey, did I miss something? What's become of RulesMinion?
ReplyDeleteHe's been galavanting around the Land of the Rising Sun. We should be back to a full table next week. :)
DeleteOh excellent! I wouldn't want him to miss the Gotterdamerung of the GPC.
DeleteI mean...Arthur will live forever, of course.
My deceased characters' collective passion for Homage: Arthur of like 200+ agrees with you, Gregg.
DeleteGood on that Tarquine lad. I'm sure he'll be a fantastic squire and that, given he's maybe 15?, come 568 he'll be returning home triumphantly as a knight. Make his mother proud. I, for one, can't wait to see that happy homecoming.
ReplyDeleteI went about this mystery (man I love me some mystery solving in my RPGs) completely differently. I had assumed that with some daughters being shopped around for marriage the motivation for the murder was that if a son were to step forward as the son of the ruler, inheritance would pass to him which would mean his daughters went from being extremely attractive prospects who could marry up in society to the kind of roll on the marriage table that you would wish you could redo.
ReplyDeleteI also had a completely opposite reaction to some of the clues: When the cook said that there were no knives missing and found out there were I was ready to convict him on the spot, and when they were informed that the cook had been out in the rain putting away spoiled milk that he suddenly had an alibi, not that he had looked guiltier.
And yes, I had also assumed this was all about Leander. But of course I did. Did you HEAR about that guy? I'm guessing with Mordred's Glory Bonus he should be at about the same level as Leander right now, so I bet with this mention of Lady Elaine and Lancelot they're going to have lots of time to settle this shocking revelation about the Orkney's sabotaging other knights and nothing else is going to happen to distract them.
