  1. I wasn't sold when you changed the introduction music a few weeks back, but somehow the opening really spoke to me this time.

This was a really good re-introduction to the campaign, since it is (again) a group of young knights building on the backstory of people who came before them and thrust into adventure that hit a lot of notes from what came before. Ascending the tower guarded by magical shadows is similar to ascending the tower guarded by magical flame after all.

Also remember villains: Stop putting all the heroes in the same cell. If you do, you risk reaching Critical Valour, which results in an inevitable surge of heroic behaviour that can void the warranty of even the most stalwart animated suits of armour.

  2. That was a pretty good adventure. You got your Saxons, your towers, your enchantresses - what more can you want?

Did Des never try to inspire with Leander's Amor? I would have thought that that would be a good passion to try for (rescuing the high king in the name of your would-be girlfriend seems like the sort of thing those Arthurian ladies go for).

Also, with Sigebryht the first married in the romance period, personal head canon has all of the other knights secretly romancing his wife.

    1. It's kind of funny that the start of the Romance period coincides with Arthur's illegitimate offspring crawling out of the woodwork. According to the Wiki, their births should both precede Arthur's marriage to Guenever, but it still may lead to some discontent in their marriage perhaps.

I wonder who their mothers are. Loholt would have been conceived during the Sword in the Stone phase when Arthur was quite young, and theoretically under watch to ensure his purity. Borre is even more confusing since that was during the Year of Three Battles, when it's hard to imagine there would have been much time for that.

  3. Brilliant comic timing from your dog this week:

"My lady, why are you not joining the merriment of the festivities?"
