I had wondered how a session-long combat with lots of game-mat action was going to translate to audio format.

Somewhere I saw a statistical breakdown done by a mathematician/Savage Worlds player regarding probabilities of exploding dice as dice size increases. Essentially, the wild die serves as a great leveler, keeping probabilities pretty much equal across all die types. Who knew!

R.I.P. You all did a great job keeping things moving fast, and it did seem to get hectic and confusing with conflicting NPC motivations in the scene, but as a listener that was quite welcome since if you as players don't know why you're doing things but are very committed to what you're doing, then it can heighten the tension.

Also the cascading d4/d6 of death is something I've observed in the two Savage World games I've played, and it's made me wonder about the utility of raising skill dice up past that point, since it's the potential for that massive chaining that'll really kill people.

Poor [ANY CHARACTER(S) WHO DIED THIS SESSION THAT WILL NOT BE SPOILED]. If only we had the chance to get to know you better.Jakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03987383774108570495noreply@blogger.com
